BF ENTRON LTD (BFE) products are exclusively electronic resistance welding control systems and associated monitoring equipment; the company manufactures many of the control systems previously produced by British Federal Ltd (BFL) and are the owners of the intellectual property of British Federal Ltd Electronics Division.

British Federal Electronics Divsion began business more than 50 years ago, developing and selling its resistance welding products including resistance welding control systems, resistance welding machines, resistance welding cables and resistance welding transformers. The organisation was also referred to as Federal Resistance Welders, Federal Welders, Meritus, BFW, BFE, BF and BFED. The welding and automation product range included Spot Welders, Seam Welders, Projection Welders, Portable Welders, welding transformers, welding cables, welding shunts, kickless cables, robot cells, Multiwelders, Flash Welders,  Medium Frequency Control Systems (MFDC), three-phase DC resistance welders, secondary rectifier machines, low frequency converters and DC hexaphase machines.
